Hello
Hello and welcome! I’m Cliff Dixon, and I’m glad you stopped by. Whether I’m serving my community, playing music at church, travelling to a new destination, or sharing a good meal with family and friends, I believe life is all about connection, faith, and making the most of every moment. Take a look around and learn a little more about the journey that has shaped me.
My Story
Cliff Dixon for more than forty years, has built a life rooted in service, community, and faith. His career began in Mississippi, where he worked for Peoples Bank & Trust Company, Barnes Crossing Mall, and United Parcel Service, often all at the same time. After earning full‑time seniority as a UPS driver, he spent nearly fifteen years serving customers across the region before relocating to Washington, DC, in 2004.
In DC, Cliff transitioned into federal contracting, taking a significant pay cut to obtain the government credentials needed to support secure environments. His determination paid off. Over the next 22 years, he worked on eight federal contracts, including 9.5 years inside the Pentagon. Today, he continues to support DoD/IC missions in Northern Virginia.
Cliff is also a devoted church musician. For two decades, he has played for multiple Baptist congregations, faithfully supporting male choruses and worship services. He currently serves at Mount Airy Baptist Church and volunteers weekly at Alfred Street Baptist Church, contributing to ministries focused on social justice, youth education, and campus beautification.
Travel is one of Cliff’s greatest joys. During his parents’ illnesses, he flew home to Mississippi nearly 35 times. Now, as an only child, he honors their memory with an annual Christmas/New Year tradition of exploring new destinations—funded by a disciplined savings habit he maintains each paycheck. He also loves spontaneous trips to New York City, especially when he finds those famous $19–$25 Amtrak deals.
When he’s not working or volunteering, Cliff can be found at street festivals, old‑school R&B concerts, cultural events, voter registration drives, or hunting for hotel bargains. His favorite indulgences include BBQ, desserts, and a good Sunday brunch.
Cliff’s life reflects resilience, generosity, and joy, qualities that make him a treasured member of our family and a blessing to every community he touches.
