Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Valerie Wilson, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m a daughter, traveller, physical therapist, and family history enthusiast who believes our stories, traditions, and connections are some of our greatest treasures. Whether I’m helping others heal, exploring new places, or uncovering pieces of our family’s history, I’m passionate about preserving what matters most and sharing it with future generations.
My Story
Dr. Valerie Wilson, DPT is the daughter of Mary Dale Wilson and Joseph Wilson, and the granddaughter of the late John Albert Goree and Maggie Goree. She has a son, Jason Russell and 2 siblings, Joseph Wilson and Camon Wilson. She currently resides in Clarksville, Tennessee, just an hour from Nashville.
Valerie received her her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from A.T. Still University. She also attended the University Louisville and received a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. She currently serves as a physical therapist for the U.S. Army, overseeing four physical therapy clinics and ensuring soldiers receive the care they need to recover and return to duty.
She will serve on the Family History and Legacy Committee for our 2028 Reunion and is excited to share fun family facts, preserve our stories, and help everyone learn more about our lineage.
Outside of her professional work, Valerie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, shopping, and volunteering with the basketball booster club at a local high school. She looks forward to reconnecting with everyone in Nashville in 2028.
